By Your Side does it again, helping our ballroom dancers bring home the gold at the California Chic Classic ballroom dance competition with 18 first place finishes and 1st place in Salsa Team Division for our Salsa team 540 Nation!
Congratulations to ballroom dancer Jasveer Virk for winning 18 first places on her first ballroom dance competition! I repeat, EIGHTEEN FIRST PLACES! Jas and Rene danced the American Smooth style which includes Waltz, Tango and Foxtrot, in the Pro/Am division where an amateur dancer dances together with a professional ballroom dancer. Go Jasveer, Go!
Jasveer is a great example of a ballroom dancer who has improved her dance technique very quickly by entering a ballroom dance competition. For all of you ballroom dancers out there, her efforts show that entering a ballroom dance competition is absolutely the fastest way to improve your ballroom dancing technique while having fun on the dance floor.

The California Chic Classic ballroom dance competition and is a sanctioned Dancesport dance competition and is part of the Dance Vision Circuit. The organizers, Alexander Novikov, his wife Alla Novikova and fellow organizer, Heather Smith are some of the best ballroom dance professionals in the dance industry and this year they featured unique Multi-Dance Pro/Am events for Bronze and Silver levels in all ballroom dance styles.
Their support for youth ballroom dancing also included over $3,000 in prizes for the top 3 places in Pre-Teen, Junior and Youth Scholarship events in all styles. Thank you Alexander, Alla, and Heather for supporting the growth of ballroom dancing with our younger dancers!

The California Chic Classic is a sanctioned ballroom dance competition by the National Dance Council of America (NDCA).
